Welcome to Fresh Air Poetry
The lack of posts on the home page was disturbing me… so here is a very quick intro. Welcome to this new Poetry Journal. I aim to post a new poem every week, over time it will develop with other interesting features, but for now I plan to keep thing simple (hopefully echoed by the design of the website!).
About Fresh Air Poetry
Fresh Air Poetry aims to publish astonishing, surprising and provocative poetry on a weekly basis.
The name and overall ethos of the journal has been inspired by the Kenneth Koch poem ‘Fresh Air’ - this poem hopefully helps outline the kind of poetry we like to publish and you will see from the people who send us their poems.
Fresh Air Poetry is edited by Stephen Daniels - a poet from Swindon. Stephen has previously edited Amaryllis Poetry (for 4 years) and has 2 published poetry pamphlets (‘Tell Mistakes I Love Them’, V.Press, 2017 & ‘£5 for this love’, Paper Swans Press, 2018). His third pamphlet ‘Birth, Love, Work, Love, Death & Other B-sides’ is due to be published later this year by Picaroon Poetry.
So there you have it - that is the journal - that is me, and over time I look forward to sharing your poems.
I intend to publish the first poem on the 12th June 2019 - so watch this space… well, not this space - the one on the front page.
